What is the purpose of masking email addresses on Biak Live Marketplace?

Biak Live Marketplace automatically masks email addresses in replies to protect users from spam and fraud. This masking does not prevent communication. You can still receive and reply to emails as usual

How Masking Works: Instead of showing a user's actual email address when they reply to an ad, Biak replaces it with a unique Biak email address. The recipient will be notified that the email address is masked.

How to Reply: If you receive an email with a masked Biak email address, you can reply from your Messages section or personal email mailbox. The "mail to" address will be the masked Biak email address. This unique address allows Biak to direct your reply to the correct person.

Masking Exceptions: Email addresses are not masked in the following cases:

Replies to ads in the Jobs category.
Replies to ads posted by registered business users. Business users will also see your email address.

These exceptions allow businesses to properly manage their interactions. Masking applies to all other ads.

Safety Recommendations: For your safety, use the masked email address when replying to emails unless the ad is from a registered business. Be cautious if someone asks you to reply to a personal email address instead of their masked Biak email.

Forwarding or cc’ing other email addresses in your replies may cause service issues.
